Acquired in 2005. Not notable before that. No references are forthcoming to satisfy WP:NCORP or WP:GNG. Mikeblas (talk) 01:38, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: Earlier instances of the article (e.g. [1]) were clearer on what this company actually did ("design and manufacture of equipment for the broadcast television and video post-production industries"; Viewguard product), which is where any notability may be found. The subsequent to-and-fro of acquisition and divestments (Leitch->Harris->GatesAir->Thomson Broadcast) would make settling on any WP:ATD target awkward. AllyD (talk) 08:02, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Whilst the article is hopeless, this publicly held corporation was acquired for $592 Million back in 2005 which clearly qualifies it for WP:CORP. Strangely, the article on Harris Corporation makes no mention of the acquisition. MNewnham (talk) 02:21, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
WP:CORP doesn't say that acquisition or public trading makes a company notable. It's about coverage, just like WP:GNG. WP:CORP does say that trivial overage (like the announcement of a merger or acquisition) doesn't satisfy notability. There needs to be coverage about the company itself, significant, reliable, and ... -- Mikeblas (talk) 00:13, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge Fails WP:ORG with insufficient secondary sources. Being acquired or a public company in itself is not notable. Possible candidate to merge into Harris_Corporation. Locu (talk) 13:06, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge what little information is available to Harris Corporation who acquired the company. The topic company fails our GNG/NCORP criteria for notability. HighKing++ 12:13, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
