Hey there, and thanks for contributing to this article! My primary concern with your changes was that this person had announced their retirement relatively recently, so it's questionable to use a database to prove that they're still active as it might not have been updated. You will need to provide a reliable source dated after the retirement announcements to confirm that the subject is still playing. That clarifies the date then, but I'm unsure I would consider that website a reliable source regardless. As I mentioned in my edit summary earlier, you might be better served by waiting for a response on the article's talk page and discussing the situation with an editor more knowledgeable about this general topic area — I'm certainly not the most prolific editor of articles on sportspeople. Also, do you operate the Cenderabird account? If you do, I would highly recommend logging in when you edit to prevent possible concerns of sockpuppetry.
