You uploaded, File:James_Henry_Moyle.jpg, where you either stated that you had permission to upload it or that evidence of such permission would be provided on request. Wikipedia needs the permission to be explicit and proven at the time of upload.

Please read Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission, which advises on how to confirm the permission you obtained from a third party.

It is also advisable to ask the third-party what source attribution they desire, as opposed to marking the image as having been "sent personally".Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:39, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

On May 16, 2016 I reached out to the Utah State History requesting permission of this file as an illustration for a Wikipedia listing on James Henry Moyle stating that with permission I would the image to Wikipedia Commons under a copyright license restricted to use by your permission, with a note saying "courtesy the Utah State Historical Society" unless they wanted it to say something else.
After some review on their end, their Library and Collections Coordinator replied on Jun 1, 2016 stating, "I have discussed your request with staff and we are in agreement. You have the historical society's permission to upload the image to Wikipedia Commons. Thank you for contacting us." Jordanrmorales (talk) 21:31, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
