Your tagging of Imperial roof decoration with copyright violation[edit]

Definitely not so - please see the article talk page Talk:Imperial roof decoration. I have removed the tag. It is best to view the article history and do some sampling, since others may lift WP content without proper credit, or may bury the credit elsewhere on their site.

My message to the site: ...

Your claim of copyright on your site pages containing text and images taken from Wikipedia is causing problems, as unknowlegable editors are adding copyright violation tags to the WP articles. Please credit text and images appropriately to avoid creating this problem, or post an appropriate notice in wach WP article's talk page.

Thank you,

Leonard.

A follow-up:

To weichhenixi@verizon.net (Attn Richard R. Wertz)

Greetings Mr. Wertz:

Follow up concening your lack of credit to Wikipedia with specific page reference.

Please note that there are no restrictions on using textual content from Wikipedia in your own published articles (electronic or hard copy) as permitted by the appropriate Wikipedia license. Note that some images are published under somewhat more restrictive licenses, such as those requiring that modified images are to be released under the same license (your modifications do not become proprietory), or licenses requiring that a credit be given to the original photographer.

Examiining your "Source Index" page at "http://www.ibiblio.org/chineseculture/source.html" I find no credit to Wikipeda, which is causing confusion among certain editors.

Articles lifted directly include your page "http://www.ibiblio.org/chineseculture/contents/arts/p-arts-c03s05.html", text and images copied from article near 26 April 2006 "http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Imperial_roof_decoration&oldid=50681279", with minor changes in page layout and deletion of internal wikipedial hyper links. Similar dated copies include the following articles from wikipedia, which you may refer against the sources by using the article's "history" buttons, and selecting articles more or less around 26 April 2006.

Chinese architecture (your page "http://www.ibiblio.org/chineseculture/contents/arts/p-arts-c03s01.html")

Chinese pagodas (your page "http://www.ibiblio.org/chineseculture/contents/arts/p-arts-c03s02.html")

Lingnan culture (section on Architecture) (your page "http://www.ibiblio.org/chineseculture/contents/arts/p-arts-c03s06.html")

Walled villages of Hong Cong (your page "http://www.ibiblio.org/chineseculture/contents/arts/p-arts-c03s06.html")

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Leonard (my user page at Wikipedia is "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Leonard_G.")
