Hmm, Another Article on Japanese Mythology Not Touched Since 2007[edit]

Do the folks at Wikipedia simply see Japanese Mythology as a joke? I mean, every other article about Japanese culture on this website is either 90% anime/manga references or has "fails to meet criteria: 2005" and "no references: 2007" and yet if you suggest that maybe it should be deleted you get called a vandal. I can understand why people with less time on their hands decide to volunteer their time elsewhere. So, how are we to fix Sazae-oni? Any suggestions before I start to prune?
