Guajolota is the name given to the traditional tamal torta (Mexican tamal sandwich) in Mexico City, one tamal inside a bolillo or telera (Mexican bread).[1] It is common to find this tamale tortas near to offices, markets and neighborhoods and specially the Sunday morning outside churches.

In the guajolotas family you also can find the Oaxaca's tamal guajolota. Part of the tradition is to drink hot atole when you are eating a guajolota, they have various flavors of atole, for example vanilla, chocolate, rice and guava. [citation needed]
