Amikiri (Japanese: 網切り), or "Net Cutter," is a creature in Japanese mythology. Toriyama Sekien illustrated it as a cross between a bird, a lobster and a snake. This creature has an annoying habit of cutting nets, both fishing nets and mosquito nets in people's houses. The creature has also been said to cut holes in laundry hung out to dry.
