Miage-nyūdō (見上入道), also called Mikoshi-nyūdō, is a kind of yōkai, a Japanese mythological creature. It's a vaguely human-shaped spirit that looks taller the more one looks up to it - in other words, the more one fears it. If a person stares into a miage-nyūdō's eyes long enough, they will die.
