A similar but contradictory claim was removed in my previous edit. It said 2100 BC in Western China. Xinjiang is in Western China, but 2100 BC is over 4100 years ago, not 3000. No source was provided for this claim, and I was unable to find one online. I won't add [citation needed] to the lede since it makes the article look sketchy. Feel free to add it back with a credible source. undo Tag: Visual edit

Citation 722, cited for the following sentence, does not claim that tartan was first woven in neolithic China. Such a claim should definitely have a source, since it's extremely rare for textiles that old to survive to the present day, and it's doubtful that neolithic China traded with neolithic Britain. If someone has a source, feel free to add the claim back. undo Tag: Visual edit

And that Glen Affric tartan is already covered in another section. The only "personal opinion" here is you trying to dictate what a "true tartan" is. You are deleting sourcing, adding redundant material to the wrong section, and injecting personal, subjective editorial opinion. PS "peat bog" is not a proper name. undo Tag: Manual revert

The subject matter is Falkirk Tartan, the subject of link is Glen Affric. Point to note, there are plenty of subjects that reference a line to Falkirk Tartan. Subject matter requires direct sourcing, not personal opinions of editorial persons. Line for Glen Affric to be added additionally below. undo Tags: Undo Reverted references removed
